About Sensei Rodgers

Sensei Rodgers has been studying Chito Ryu Karate for over 15 years.  Sensei Rodgers has dedicated research and time to not only learn the art, but preserve the art and pass it to the next generation.  Sensei Rodgers continuously researches both the katas, the history and internal workings of Chito Ryu Karate.  Further Sensei Rodgers studies other arts as well to compare and contrast the ideas from Chito Ryu karate.  Sensei Rodgers also studies Jeet Kune Do.

Sensei Rodgers is a Master Personal Trainer through the National Federation of Person trainers.  Sensei Rodgers has been a certified personal trainer for over 18 years.  Sensei Rodgers specializes in Endurance training, Nutritional training and Weight training all through National Federation of Personal Trainers.

Sensei Rodgers is a Tactix instructor which applies endurance training with overall self defense methods.

Sensei Rodgers has trained multiple police officers, fire fighters and military personal in the use of karate and coordinated the weekly sparring groups in Georgia.

Sensei Rodgers first studio that he created was in Chandler Arizona in 2012.  This studio, while small, was highly effective both in learning but the students who attended.   Sensei Rodgers worked at LifeTime Fitness for nearly a year in Personal trainer.  These were some of the most successful personal trainers in the country and Sensei Rodgers learned the business side of personal training.

From 2013 to about 2018 Sensei Rodgers began creating the foundation of Total 360.  This was a massive task which encompassed taking all of Sensei's training and putting it into a business model that could be used to teach a variety of subjects.  While the official launch of the business was in 2006, Total 360 exploded in 2016.  Sensei Rodgers began teaching karate in Kachina Village, Arizona near Flagstaff.  Sensei Rodgers had students come from as far away as Phoenix to get lessons.

Clients would ask for multiple sessions a week.  Sensei Rodgers restarted the sparring group which again was very successful.

In 2019 Sensei Rodgers moved to Prescott Valley, Arizona and began searching for the right environment to bring Chito Ryu karate to life in Arizona.  Sensei Rodgers met with Prescott Valley Parks and recreation and laid out a plan to bring a Japanese art that is extremely well known all of the world to Prescott Valley.  We discussed the applications, the community involvement and how to work through the pandemic.

Total 360 karate was launched in June of 2020 during the COVID 19.  We were the only class to be added to the roster of classes that Prescott Valley was offering.  Most classes began to close up when COVID 19 became big.  Total 360 employed the guidelines from the WHO and CDC and was able to bring Chito Ryu karate to the area.

We currently have two classes and are working on a third class.
