What is Total 360 Karate?

The idea of Total 360 karate is that it builds upon the brand that I started in 2002. I became a certified personal trainer through the NFPT (National Federation of Personal Trainers).  I worked hard and became a master personal trainer in 2005 by adding in certifications in Nutrition, Endurance Training, and Weight Training. I then began to start work on my branding for what I wanted to accomplish as a personal trainer.

How as I going to be different from other trainers?  I did not want just to train. I wanted to transform people’s lives.

It is important to train and get the exercise, but it is equally important to have the mental side of exercise and the nutritional aspect of exercise.

 

This is Total 360, for most people getting into exercise is an aspect by itself that you may have success with, but when you apply all three aspects with purpose and dedication it transforms you in a deeper way. I learned how to apply motivation and meditation as aspects of my training. I worked hard at figuring out what my clients were eating and offered ideas through the approved methods of the National Federation of Personal trainers to help meet their goals.

Total 360 workouts always had a meditation and a nutritional or guidance aspect to them.

When I started my martial arts journey I started combining my training with karate. I realized that this was a great opportunity to combine both of my passions together. I would have discussions with fellow students on what to eat for endurance and health, and talked about how to clear the mind while the sensei and instructor worked hard on the physical aspects.
​
With the opening of my dojo in 2011, I learned that this style can be very effective in not only building a class but in getting people to make life long changes. It’s at this point, that I decided I needed to figure out how to have a dedicated part of Total 360 in Karate.

By infusing the Chito Ryu style of karate with the passion, dedication, and heart of physical exercise, mediation, and nutrition I have created a program that will help people make life long changes.
